Looking for an easy way to make your period more environmentally friendly? With the comfy, easy-to-use, hypoallergenic Lamazuna cup, we’ve found the solution! This reusable menstrual cup is made from medical-grade silicone and is free from unnecessary and hazardous chemicals. It can be used for many years, saving your money (and a huge amount of waste too).
In the last few years, menstrual cups have gone from being relatively unknown to becoming a popular alternative to disposable tampons and pads… and it’s not hard to see why! Not only are reusable cups better for the environment, but they also have many benefits for you too. Cups don’t affect the natural pH balance of your body or cause dryness, and whether you’ve got a light or heavy flow (or anywhere in between), the Lamazuna menstrual cup is fantastic! It can hold more blood than 3 super tampons and can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time (so you can have a lie-in in the morning without worrying!). The soft, flexible silicone adapts to your body so you can go swimming or work out comfortably. In fact, when it’s in properly, you shouldn’t feel your menstrual cup at all!

Size 2: For those who have given birth vaginally
-
Material: 100% medical-grade silicone (FDA approved)
-
How to use:
-
Before first use: Before using your cup for the first time, you should sterilise it by boiling it in water for 3-5 minutes
-
Inserting the cup: Don’t forget to wash your hands before inserting your cup, and while you’re doing that, you might want to wet the cup too, to make insertion easier. Once that’s done, you simply need to fold the cup and hold it so that it stays folded while you insert it into your vagina. Once the whole cup is inserted you can remove your fingers, letting the cup unfold. To check if the cup is inserted correctly, feel the bottom of the cup to check that it feels round, without any folds. In case it hasn’t completely opened up yet, gently rotate the cup holding the base (not the stem) until it unfolds completely. You shouldn’t be able to feel the cup at all when it’s inserted correctly! You can leave the cup in for up to 12 hours at a time
-
Removing the cup: Make sure to pinch the base of the cup to release the suction seal before carefully removing the cup. Empty the contents of your cup into the toilet and then wash under running water before reinserting (top tip: emptying your cup in the shower is a great way to wash away the blood and clean your cup – and yourself! – all in one go). If you’re in a toilet without a sink, you can wipe your cup with toilet paper before reinserting, and then rinse it out later
-
After your period: Once you’ve finished your period, boil your cup in water for 3-5 minutes to sterilise it
-
Note: If you haven’t used a menstrual cup before it can take a little while (2-3 cycles on average) to get completely used to using your cup
